WSMR Year In Review 2025

WSMR Year In Review 2025

2025 was an amazing and busy year for us at WSMR

The year started with the marriage of Jody and Simon on a beautiful day at the Civic center.

The number of beautiful floral arrangements inspired us to burn them onto screens and use them throughout the year, becoming some of our most popular prints today.

February started our traveling for the year, with Simon to Atlanta to mentor students and Jody to Ohio for a visit with family. The month was also the start of a great year creating custom pieces for our clients who shop from their own closets.

Spring brought more travel to ATL for Simon and a charity fashion show where the proceeds went to GLIDE Memorial Church, San Francisco. The highlight of the season was a visit from the youngest grandson and letting him run up and down the print table!

The summer kicked off with our now annual Sale of Summer, another round of family visitors and non stop birthday celebrations.

The end of summer brought us some amazing experiences with great friends at our studio complex. We began a collaboration with ceramicist Susan McKinney and  Marinship studio trips to bucket list places. We had our first "team building" visit with a group of twelve and our first work shop with a group of three.

The Middle of September came with a WSMR trip to NYC and a two week residency at Atelier Jolie, and a plan to collaborate for the Smashing Pumpkins 30th anniversary of the album Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness performance with the Chicago Lyric Opera, which happened in November.

Halloween approached far too fast with some shenanigans at the studio and some special pieces printed.

November was a month of jury duty for Jody and Simon creating magnificent textiles for the launch of our home products at The Gardener in Berkeley. November also saw a trip for Simon to ATL for a new round of mentoring.

December gave us the opportunity for a few gatherings and sharing of treats.

May 2026 bring more great memories and the opportunity to connect with wonderful people.
