Collaboration with Sara Shepherd

On January 24th WSMR hosted the launch of the greatly anticipated collection and collaboration with Sara Shepherd. The event was a great introduction of Sara's meticulous tailoring and WSMR's unique techniques for textiles.

Sara Shepherd’s eponymous clothing brand focuses on craft that blends the tailoring and structure of her British upbringing with the modernity and functionality of a California life.

As a designer who loves to work in 3D, Sara meticulously combines traditional craftsmanship with unique and innovative construction techniques. Each piece is created, developed and handcrafted in her downtown Los Angeles studio where fit, shape, elements and details are an obsession that result in a range of strong, sustainable, sophisticated garments.

Sara previously worked for Jeremy Scott and Sandoval. She currently teaches, part-time, at the Academy of Art University. Press features include: WWD, The International Herald Tribune and British Vogue online

Sara's new collection boasts a range of colors and texture derived from high quality dead stock finds from some of the world's finest manufacturers. This includes silks, coated cotton twill and silk jacquard.

Clients can experience Sara's extraordinary design and fit on a digital avatar created to their specific measurements. Fabric, color and even a one-of-a-kind WSMR textile treatment can be selected offering a custom couture garment at a ready to wear price-point.
