Coffee, Cake and Lois

What began as a modest launch quickly unfolded into a lively weekend of creativity, storytelling, and a touch of commerce.
Lois arrived Saturday morning straight from the airport, suitcase in hand and filled with her ceramics—elegant pieces that captured movement and emotion, ready to animate a blank wall. Paired with the masks and vases already in the studio, her work shifted the atmosphere entirely.

As the day moved on, so did Lois—into a costume change and a clear plan. We turned our attention to a collaborative printing session on the white denim jumpsuit she was wearing. Between visitors and laughter, we layered the garment with multiple screens and colors. It was Lois’s first experience with printmaking, and she took to it immediately.

By evening, a new energy filled the space as guests arrived for the talk, curious about the collaboration: dresses designed by Lois, alongside silk scarves, bags, gloves, and paper prints, all bearing motifs inspired by her masks and reimagined by Simon. The night concluded with a live printing demonstration by Lois—now something of a convert—and a giveaway of a print and a bag.

Sunday began more gently, with coffee from Overview Coffee, chocolates by Alice, and coffee cake and fruit. The day carried the same sense of ease and engagement, with more opportunities to share the work—and, quietly, to place it in new hands.
